These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern the use of northerncompass.co.uk (the “Site”). This Site is owned and operated by Northern Compass Ltd.

The Site is operated by Northern Compass Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”). We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16512056 and have our registered office at 6 Grange Close, Bempton, East Yorkshire, YO15 1J.

By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.

You agree that you are solely responsible for all costs and expenses you may incur in relation to your use of the Site.

By accessing or using this Site or paying to access content or book a session, you agree to be bound by, and comply with, these terms and conditions (and any documents referred to in them), so please read them carefully before you start to use the Site. If you do not agree with or accept any of these terms, you should stop using the Site immediately.

Limitation of Liability

Northern Compass Ltd and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the site, or as a result of any sessions booked with the company. Liability with regards to any courses or sessions provided by Northern Compass Ltd will be limited to the cost of any courses or sessions provided.

The Site is intended for use only by those who can access it from within the UK. If you choose to access the Site from locations outside the UK, you are responsible for compliance with local laws where they are applicable.

Intellectual Property

All content published and made available on our Site is the property of Northern Compass Ltd. This includes, but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.

Links to Other Websites

Our Site may contain links to third party websites or services that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party website or service linked to on our Site. It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of these third party websites before using these sites.

Booking a session with us

Below, we set out how a legally binding contract between you and us (Northern Compass Ltd) is made. This process applies to you if you are booking a session with us.

You purchase a session through the site by accessing the page relating to that session and following the instructions. You confirm and place your order by clicking the ‘PAY NOW’ (or equivalent) button. Any orders you place will be subject to these terms and conditions.

Please read and check your order carefully before submitting it. If you need to correct any errors you can do so before submitting your order to us.

When you confirm and place your order (i.e. when you click on the ‘PAY NOW’ button), we will process your order and, provided that we do not decline your order.

  • Legally binding contract will be in place between you and us.

  • An email will be sent to you with log in details if it is the first time you have booked a session, or you will see the newly purchased course appear in your account if you are an existing customer; and

  • We may decline your order in for any reason.

Cancellation Policy

Within 24 hours of booking any order for a course or treatment may be cancelled and a full refund will be given, up until 48 hours before a booked session that session the time and/or date of the session may be altered on the website for another available time and/ or date, otherwise no refunds will be given.

Payment

The prices payable for our sessions are noted on the relevant pages of our Site. Prices are in pounds sterling (£)(GBP).

You can pay by using the credit or debit cards listed on our Site, or by using other payment methods (e.g. Paypal). Your credit card, debit card or Paypal account will only be charged when you click ‘PAY NOW’ (or equivalent button). All payments by credit card or debit card need to be authorised by the relevant card issuer.

Cancelling a session

Northern Compass Ltd may cancel your booking at any time, for any reason. Should this happen you will be contacted as soon as possible and receive a full refund for the cancelled session, or the option to book another session on the website if available. The client will not be entitled to any compensation regarding a cancelled session.

Creating an account and keeping account details secure

In order to use certain features of our site, and to access our content, you must create an account on the site (an “account”). You can apply to create an account through the relevant sign-up page on the site.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, not to allow you to create an account. This may be due to technical constraints, because you have been banned by us from using the site or accessing our content, or for any other reason.

During the application process you will choose, or be provided with, unique user information (for example a username and password) as part of our security procedures (“Login Information”). You agree that you are solely responsible for keeping your login information confidential and you warrant (i.e. legally promise) that you will do so. You must not disclose your login information to any third party in breach of these terms and conditions. If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your Login Information you must promptly notify us.

You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for all activity carried out on the site through your account, and that you will be liable to us for any reasonable costs and expenses incurred by us as a result of any breach of these terms and conditions committed through your Account.

Indemnity

Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site you indemnify and hold harmless Northern Compass Ltd and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.

Applicable Law

We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Severability

If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms and Conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these Terms and Conditions will still be considered valid.

Changes

These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our Site and the way we expect users to behave on our Site. We will notify users by email of changes to these Terms and Conditions or post a notice on our Site.

Disclaimer, accuracy of information and availability of the Site

Although we try to make sure that the Site and Content are accurate, up-to-date and free from errors, we cannot promise that they will be. Any reliance that you may place on the information or Content on the Site is at your own risk.

Any content placed on the site by us is provided for general information purposes only. It does not, and is not intended to, constitute technical, financial, medical or legal advice or any other type of advice and should not be relied on for any purposes. You should obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of any content on our site.

Access to the Site is permitted by us in our sole and ultimate discretion. We will try to keep disruptions to a minimum, we may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of the Site as we see fit and without notice. We will not be liable to you if for any reason the Site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

Viruses

We do not guarantee that the Site or the Content will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your device in order to access the Site and the Content and you should use your own virus protection software.

You must not misuse the Site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which the Site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the Site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Site will cease immediately.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the Site or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.

General legal terms

Events beyond our control – we shall have no liability to you for any breach of these terms caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes; breakdown of systems or network access; or flood, fire, explosion or accident.

Rights of third parties – no one other than a party to these terms and conditions has any right to enforce any of these terms and conditions.

Variation – these terms and conditions are dated 9th July 2025. We reserve the right to vary these terms and conditions from time to time. Our new terms will be displayed on the Site and by continuing to use and access the Site following such changes, you agree to be bound by any variation made by us. It is your responsibility to check these terms and conditions from time to time to verify such variations.

Breach – we shall apply these terms and conditions in our absolute discretion. In the event of your breach of any of these terms we may terminate or suspend your use of the Site, disclose information to law enforcement authorities and/or HMRC or take any action we consider necessary to remedy the breach.
